Disable Cache Thumbnails in Windows Xp to increase performance of windows XP
- Start a registry editor, Start-Run then type regedit
- Navigate to :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\Advanced registry subkey
- Double-click the DisableThumbnailCache value or create this
value of type DWORD if it doesn’t exist.
- Set the value to 1, then click OK (to enable set the value to 0)
- Close the registry editor
- Restar the PC to take effect.
This Trick is useful for low-end PC using Windows XP. Makes it faster.
