How to Backup and Restore Registry

Although many tool can be used to backup and registry setting on the windows OS but you can do it manually without registry backup tool. With Backup a registry you can restore its easily when your windows error after changing some registry setting.

The registry setting always changed when you installing new software, tweaking your registry and other. Registry is an important file on the windows setting. To restore and backup windows registry manually, you do this following steps.

Here How to Backup and Restore Registry on Computer:

Backup Registry

• Click Start > Run… then type regedit to open Registry Editor
• Click menu “File then  Export”  to export registry entry
• Export Registry File will appear. Save the registry as .reg file name for example “backup.reg” the click save.

Restore Registry

• To restore registry select File > Import… menu
• Select registry backup file the click open.

Note: You can do this backup and restore method from Windows Safe mode if your windows start normally.
