Format USB Pen Drive in NTFS File System
Have tried to format your USB drive in NTFS file system? You will not find this option by default in Windows XP. NTFS allows you encrypting your data which is a feature that is inbuilt in Windows XP and above. It also lets you to add allow and deny permissions on individual files and folders for specific Windows users.
With a simple trick you can format you USB drive in NTFS file system. Following these steps to format your USB drive in NTFS file system:
- Right click mouse on My Computer icon and then select manage.
- After this windows appear, in the “System tools” click Device Manager.
- In the right pane, click Disk drive then right click on your USB Device and then choose properties. Click policies tab, choose Optimize for performance then click OK
- Now format your USB device and you will see NTFS option in the file system.
