Led Error code for Canon IP1300, IP1700, IP1200, IP1880, IP1980
Having problem with Canon IP1300, IP1700, IP1200, IP1880, IP1980. Sign that looked to be only led blinking. Following some solutions problem of printer that marked with led blinking.
3x Orange 1x green
Problem : any problem with printer mechanics
Solution: If you don’t have knowledge about printer mechanic, will better if bring the printer to Canon service center.
4x orange 1x green
Problem printer absorber full
Solution: Reset the printer using generaltools or software resetter. If not work using reset manual. Each printers having different set of manual reset
5x orange 1x green
Problem: Black or Color cartridge trouble.
Note: problem is usually caused many matters, for example chips error, conector is dirty, etc.
7x orange 1x green
Problem: Black or Color cartridge trouble.

Turn On iP1900
HOLD DOWN RESUME BUTTON for about 2 minutes.. you can hear that the ink is reloading…
YOUR PRINTER back to NORMAL…

BE SURE your cartridge can be detected… you cannot solve your problem if your cartridge do the error.. buy a new one before doing this.. thank you

1 hour before the print still work, not turn off, not opened catrige or another. Please i don’t know what happen within my printer.
my printer is IP1980 and was purchased 2 months ago. my problem is that it doesn’t turn on anymore. it seems that its power is no longer functioning. what can possibly be done about it? i sent it to a technician i know but he says he’s still researching on how to make it turn on again. hope you can help….
I have a printer ip 1300 canon when turn on the printer the led will alternate blink to green and orange when I try to print it will have a error of 5600.
here’s another way..
uninstall your printer driver..
control panel->add remove program-> select canon ip1700 (for example) then remove..
download your printer driver…
download ip tool (software resetter)l..
then try to clean your printer absorber (open your printer cover..it is located inside printer where the printe’sr cartridge rest..) with tissue or whatever..
install printer driver
install ip tool
connect your printer usb
install your printer
run iptool
reset EEPROM using iptool..
test print & done!!

I have a Canon ip1980 that is blinking leds. the yellow led blinks 15 times then the green let blinks 1 time none of the error codes above tells me what is wrong and how to fix it.

For permanent reset after doing the manual reset you must using software restter. Software resetter such as iPtool and general tool for canon iP 1800 can be used to reset waste ink counter on the Canon iP1980 and Canon iP1900 series. To reset Waste Ink Tank canon iP1980 or iP1900 series follow this steps:
1. Press Resume button hold for 1 – 2 minutes
2. Open the cover
3. Release the catridge and then put catridge again
4. Close The Cover
5. Turn Off
6. then Turn On again
CANON PIXMA IP1900 is just a successor of ip1880 PARTS & MANUALS ARE THE SAME but a little bit faster than 1880
1. USE GENERAL TOOL http://www.ziddu.com/download/10639513/ip1880.rar.html
2. CHANGE USB PORT change into CANON PORT
3. click lock release
4. click ip1800
5. click device id
6. clear waste ink counter by clicking MAIN & PLATEN
7. Check EEPROM Box
8. Click EEPROM Dump
9. Test pattern 1
10. Your Done…
but this is not the end of your problem
EVERYTIME YOU CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER you have to open your printer
and wash the INK PAD and let it dry it will damage any part of your computer if you
will not do this.

what is the error 5100 of canonip1880
My Canon iP2200 keeps on flashing its control LEDs all the time and won’t print anymore.
Sometimes it’s 20 toggles of orange/green, sometimes 5 times orange, 1x green, 5x orange and so on. Desktop eventually says error 5600, which is not to be found in any of the error codes list google results provided me with. Furthermore I couldn’t find a specific explanation of LED signals for iP2200. If it’s the same as with other iP printers, something seems to be wrong with the ink head. Would that be fixable? Or is/are one /both of the cartridges broken completely? iP tool won’t work due to the error. Resume button held several minutes won’t work either. Anyone with similar experience and/or solution? Please help me if you can.

How you possibly found the solution to led orange blink 3x and green 1x?? I am think the of sending it to a Canon service centre, I might as well buy a new printer! Anyone who knows the solution pls help. I am sure there are someone out there who knows.
