thanks bbl… i got your instruction and i made it.. very helpful.. now i can use back to my printer… more trick hopefully for other printers to help a consumer and to save money by bringing the printer to the computer shop and pay sufficient amount which is additional burden to us.. and now i can do itself to fix the error like this… thanks so much..

Howdy. All of a sudden I get thie E5 to the color cartridge error and I can’t get over it; If I try accessing the service mode I can’t choose any option by clicking on the reset button, since even in this mode the alarm led blinks and it doesn’t leave me doing anything!

when error e27 (mp145 )appear i tried to follow the solution given. but when the screen turn ’0′, the printer not respond when i press stop/reset button. No changes on LED blinking and the printer just do nothing.. HELP ME!!!! I have a bundle of assignment to print out!!! thanks in advance ^^

im using canon mp145. Previously on CISS ink. Recently having E5 error on starting up.
Tried the above method…after press everything and restart..it still shows error E5.
Then i removed the CISS and put in a brand new Canon Original Black catridge. Still E5 error.

what else can i do??

I struggled for two days with my MP145 printer and finally my problem solved.
Problem: There is no color ink. Printer was displaying ‘E 4′. I tried all resetting methods and nothing worked. Finally I came across this link: http://slayo.com/error-4-or-no-ink-in-printer-canon-mp145.html.

All you have to do is:
1. Turn on your printer.
2. When its turned ON and displaying ‘E 4′, press and hold the reset button until printer shows ’1′.
3. Done
