How to Enable and adjust AutoRecover and AutoSave

To enable these features, do the following in one of these Microsoft Office programs :

Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or Word

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Program Name Options. (note : in the microsoft word click “word options” button, in ms excell click “Excell options” button, in MS PowerPoint “PowerPoint options” button)
  2. In the left pane Click Save menu and then Select the Save AutoRecover information every X minutes check box in the right pane.
  3. In the minutes list, specify how often you want the program to save your data and the program state.

Ms Outlook

  1. To setting autorecovery in Ms Outlook 2007, On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click Preferences tab, click E-mail Options, and then click Advanced E-mail Options.
  3. Select the AutoSave items every: x minutes check box.
  4. In the minutes list, specify how often you want the program to save your data and the program state.

Visio, Publisher

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Save/Open tab.
  2. Select the Save AutoRecover information every x minutes check box.
  3. In the minutes list, specify how often you want the program to save your data.
