Intel Acquisition Omek Interactive
The maker of computer chips, Intel Corporation, has acquired corporate technology software developer tracking from Israel, Omek Interactive Ltd, with the price about 30-40 million U.S. dollars.
With the acquisition, Intel is increasing efforts in computational perception, introduction the movement, and camera of 3 dimensional (3D) to improve the user experience, according to Israel’s media Globes.
Intel Capital has led the financing of third to Omek worth 7 million dollars in July 2011, along with other investors such as Chestnut Street, ff Ventures, and Equity Group.
According to Globes, in last weeks Omek try adding more funds but likely not succeed.
Omek Interactive was founded in 2006 by CEO Janine Kutliroff with his father, Gershom Kutliroff.
