Troubleshooting Tips for Printer Using Continuous Ink System (CIS)
PROBLEM : If the ink tank is full of ink and the computer shows a message“Replace Cartridge” that the cartridges are empty. The printer keeps track of how much ink is being used and thinks that the cartridge should be empty so you will have to reset the cartridges chips.
SUGGESTION :
- method 1: Click on the stop key once, the chip is now reset!
- method 2: Turn off the printer for 1 minute and turn it back on.
PROBLEM : Banding or white lines in my print outs.
SUGGESTION : There is air in the system or cartridges. Try running a couple of cleaning cycles. If white lines continue, use the provided syringe to suck the air out of the bottom of the trouble cartridge and you can add the ink that fills the syringe back into the top of the CI system. (Make sure to thoroughly rinse the syringe when completed.)
PROBLEM : When I have completed a printing job the ink is siphoning backwards down the tubing.
SUGGESTION : The shipping plugs need to be removed before installing and replaced with the air breathers to eliminate any pressure being built up in the system, along with protecting the ink from contamination. Also the ink tank should be sitting on the same level surface as the printer. If the air breathers are covered with dried ink, you can rinse the air breather and dry thoroughly to regain use.
PROBLEM : The tubing is getting caught inside the printer resulting in an error message “paper loading error”.
SUGGESTION : If the tubing is not adjusted correctly, if it’s too short or too long causing it to slap the inside of the printer. Please adjust.
PROBLEM : After refilling the tanks the printer won’t print.
SUGGESTION : If the ink is added into the system too quickly, then it allows air to enter the system. Use the provided syringe to extract ink and air from the bottom of the cartridges. The ink that fills the syringe can be slowly added back into the top of the ink tank.
PROBLEM : After installing the CI system the printer does not recognize some of the cartridges.
SUGGESTION : Remove the cartridges, turn off the printer and reinstall the cartridges. Then you can continue printing.

how to reset waste ink, if fully?, there is a software or manual resetter, would you like give it, i need it, please give me info, thank verry much…

im using canon IP 1880 with a continouos ink system, my problem is there is no colored printings even all the colored ink tank has a neckfull of ink when i print my works in colored.. help me… pleaes…!!!!
What if the the printers says this:
“Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life. See your printer documentation.”
And also this:
“A non-genuine or refilled cartridge has been detected. Ink levels are not shown because pf unknown ink volume.”
What will I do with this. All the red lights are “ON” and my printer won’t do its job. Please help! Thanks!

i jsu setup my CIS ink system for the epson R1900 and after i try to print it ask me to replace the ink then after i click the two reset buttons on the top of the ink a message telling me that the ink is incompatible !!! any help for that plz
i m using hp 7590 with cis and initially it was working fine but later the black ink was not pulled and i tried with other cis also but there also same thing happened and it worked well initially but it has again stopped black ink supply from cis
Just installed a CISS in a Canon Pixma pro9000 Markii. Everything is working fine except the black and white prints are coming out with a yellow/brown tint. Backgrounds are not white. How can I remedy this.
Hi, having problem with HPDeskjet D2660…I have installed CISS system…all worked well for while…now cannot get past the Ink-Level error despite disconnecting at all points, rebooting, etc, etc. Can anyone help please?

I’m Using EPSON T60 and my black Ink gets empty and the other ink is not empty. I have to print colored text and I dont need to use the Black?? What should I do now?? and… I have Bottomless Ink System but I do not know how to install????

I just refill black color for the first time on my CISS canon pixma 2770. white lines continuously appear. do you have a demo how to do that syringe thing you suggest to suck the air from the cartridge.

the ink cartridges not recognized (CISS). i tried to change the chips, remove the plug and usb, turn off and on the printer but it appears the same error. it occurs last night while im cleaning the head and until now i cant fix it. some help please.
reset your chips and make sure it was intact with your printer head

im using an Epson Stylus C79 with CISS installed, there is this red light flashing on my printer that says i need to refill the cartridge. Unfortunately, when i try pressing the red flashing button for refill, it wont move like there was no action… i kept pressing the button several times and still there wasnt. i cant print or even test print when the red flashing light is on. i dont know how to fix this

Hello everyone if it says cartridge should be replaced or can’t be recognized, go to printers and faxes folder.
For epson prnters, right click the printer and choose printing preference, go to maintenance, choose ink cartridge replacement follow instruction until cartridge move the print head to the ink cartridge replacement position.
Since it’s a CISS, no need to replace, lift the cartridge straight up and and push it back again then click next next next until ink cartridge replacement is complete.
Follow these instruction if it says cartridge can’t be recognized or need replacement.

Hi. My Epson Photo P50 has just started giving me the error message THE INSTALLED INK CARTRIDGE IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THIS PRINTER. I have followed moon’s instructions and I get the same message. It had been working fine for the last two years, no problems. I can’t think what’s wrong, there is ink in the CISS

i set my canon pixma mp250 to use only the color cartridge for printing since my black cartridge started leaving white lines (unprinted areas) and i don’t have the time to fix it. with that, my printer pops out this message everytime it has to print a document: “only the following cartridge will be used for printing…” and it’s making me click ok before it starts printing.. too hassle when printing multiple files. how do i set it off (the message)? thank you

Guys, I used adj. program to reset waste ink pad counter of Epson C79 printer with CISS. After resetting the counter successfully, I tried to do head clean inside the adj.prog. and there my problem started. The head cleaning didn’t finished then gave me a message of FATAL ERROR. So turned off my printer and removed the CISS. After a few minutes, I re-installed the CISS successfully and all cartridges recognized. But everytime I try to print or do something, the printer now gives me a GENERAL ERROR problem telling me to remove foreign object inside the printer. I tried to re-install again and same thing. Now, is there something else I can do to make the CISS work properly again with my C79 printer? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!
My HP deskjet F2100 was using continnous ink system but the hose of magenta,cyan,black are not going through the cartridge.
