Encrypt and Password Protect File and Folder using SafeHouse Explorer

Actually there lots of free software can be downloading from internet to protect file, document, photo and other on computer. Yesterday I got info good software named “SafeHouse Explorer”.

What is SafeHouse Explorer? SafeHouse Explorer is useful software to hide, encrypt and password protect folders and documents and keep them safe. This software can encrypt up to 256-bit Twofish encryption. If you are windows 7 user this software has compatible with the windows 7 version (32 bit and 64 bit) and its also support for windows 2000, Windows XP, 2003 and Vista.

If you want to protect your personal file and anyone can not view or copy your data without your permission I suggest use SafeHouse Explorer, why? Because it’s free and support newest windows version but to install this software your computer must connect to internet.

How to Use Save House to Protect Your Private File and Documents

Before follow this tutorial you have installed SafeHouse software on your computer. You can download the software at: http://www.safehousesoftware.com/SafeHouseExplorer.aspx. If already installed the software follow these steps:

Launch the SafeHouse software. Click new volume then click next.
Select folder locations to create a volume. On this step you’ll be prompted folder locations, volume size and password.
After steps 2 above finished click “create volume” button to start creating volume. It will take several minutes depending to the volume size. After all process finished click finish and it mean you have successful create a volume file.

How to use the volume created from steps above to protect your file, here how:

Open volume file that create from the steps above. It will prompt a password to open the volume file. After entering the password it automatically open SafeHouse software.
Open windows explorer, you’ll view a virtual drive like the picture below. Copy files and document to protect to this drive. When you’re done working with your files, close “SafeHouse” software to lock your file. If you need to open your file again repeat from step 1.
