WordPress 2.8 Release Candidate 1 now Available

If not uncover any bad bugs, Wednesday 10th, wordpress 2.8 will be release. WordPress 2.8 comes with a lot of optimization features making it the most robust and speedy WordPress version ever.

Here is a small list of new features that WordPress 2.8:

• Faster load times with the ability to compress both external CSS files and embedded CSS, and the same with Javascript, both embedding and external files.
• Now Easier to use Widgets, No more “add this widget” and gets added and having to browse the different sidebars.  Now you can drag and drop, and auto-save, on any of the registered sidebars for your theme.
• Theme Browser for searching and installing themes from within Admin Panel
• New widget Panel makes working with Widgets easier
• New Admin Schemas for the Admin Panel
• Updated Plugin Search
• Fixed bug with Flash Uploader
